Meditation

Meditation is an important element of Tantra, and it can be of great benefit to you and your Beloved. You can practice it alone or together. There are many different forms of meditation. If you don’t already practice it, you and your Beloved should start with basic meditation.

First, set aside a time when you won’t be interrupted. Two minutes of meditation is a good goal for beginners. However, if you find this difficult, you can reduce this goal as needed. Also, prepare a quiet, well-lit place where you can practice your meditation.

When you have removed all distractions, sit down in a relaxed manner and breathe in and out slowly. For now, focus on your breathing. If a stray thought comes into your mind, turn your attention toward your inhales and exhales. This should feel familiar; the breathing exercises earlier in this chapter contain some elements of meditation.

Once you’re comfortable with focusing on your breath, you can intentionally allow your mind to wander. You can think about your Beloved, your life, your past – anything you want. Just be honest with yourself as your mind wanders; if you feel your mind becoming too chaotic or stressed, re-focus yourself by concentrating on your breath.

Once you and your Beloved have become comfortable with two minutes of meditation, slowly increase the time limit. Meditation can help to relax your mind and grant you greater focus and creativity, which helps you see better results during Tantric Sex.
